If you are a grandparent then you’re in the right place!

As grandparents, we understand the deep love and desire to see our grandchildren thrive. We recognize that being the best grandparents we can be requires guidance and support, especially in today's ever-changing world. Thankfully, we have a reliable source of wisdom—the timeless truths found in the Bible.

God, the creator of families and the role of grandparenting, has provided us with valuable insights on our journey. Through His Word, we discover our role as Christian grandparents and how to respect our children as the primary spiritual leaders in their children's lives. We also recognize the importance of treating family situations with confidentiality, creating a safe space for discussions and growth.
Our purpose as grandparents goes beyond simply being babysitters or fun storytellers (although those roles are important too!). We have a God-given opportunity to make a lasting impact during these precious years.
While every family's circumstances may differ, we can all pray for our grandchildren. Regardless of the challenges they face, we can intercede for God's blessings, protection, and guidance in their lives. We pray that they will personally experience the love of Jesus and find joy, hope, and peace in Him.

Allow us to introduce ourselves—Martyn and Angela Thompson. We share a deep love for grandparenting (just ask anyone who's met us!) and are honoured to lead this new and evolving Grandparenting Ministry at Moulton Parish Church and beyond. We believe that as a community of caring grandparents, we can learn together and encourage one another on this extraordinary journey.
Join us as we explore the richness and beauty of grandparenting through various activities, discussions, and resources. Let's celebrate the blessing of being grandparents and discover how we can leave a legacy of love, faith, and hope for future generations.

Purpose
Our role as Christian grandparents can be both a joy and a challenge, so our ministry aims to support, inspire and enable you as grandparents, through a variety of resources, events and meaningful opportunities to deepen our own relationship with God, to pray for our grandchildren and where possible, to share the wonderful truth of the gospel with them. Our ministry aims to help all who are grandparents to be the grandparents God designed us to be.
Email encouragement
As part of our ministry, we send occasional emails (called ‘Grandparenting Matters’) to grandparents with articles, stories and practical tips to inspire and encourage you in Christian grandparenting. Please let us know if you’d like to receive these and we would be delighted to send them to you and for you to join our growing community of praying grandparents.
Inspiring Grandparenting Events
Once or twice a year, we host ‘Inspiring Grandparenting’ events, specially designed for grandparents seeking to grow in their faith and discover more about their role. These events feature engaging speakers, workshops and fellowship opportunities to connect with other grandparents on the same journey, with something for everyone’s situation. Do come along and join with us!
Recommended Resources
We have two prayer booklets ‘Praying for your Grandchildren’ and ‘Praying for your Children’ to use, to seek Gods blessing, guidance and protection over their lives. .We also have a list of books on Christian Grandparenting, containing valuable insights and biblical wisdom.
